Description: A tiny off the grid cabin in the woods was our home for Canadian Thanksgiving! We drove around three hours out of Toronto and stayed in a Cabin in a place called Gilmour in Cottage Country. The cabin was right next to a lake and was surrounded by trees. We brought up a lot of Ontario produce to eat with our Thanksgiving dinner. We had local cheeses, and a very delicious apple pie that we heated on our wood burner! We had to shower from a bag outside, but that was all part of the fun! One of my favourite parts of the trip was helping a Canadian potato farmer with his harvest. It was great to get our hands dirty and learn more about how our food is grown. What a delight all round!
